The reality is there are two of billionaire cabals. There's the old guard: The Koch brother, Rothschild's banking cartel, George Soros, ect, and the big tech guys.

I think there's a rift between these two groups. Ones fortunes rely on the exploitation of recourses and people, the other relies on authoritarianism and control of thought and speech and ultimately believe they will usher in a new eutopia where they are the ruling class.

All that's happen now in public reflects the rift that's happening between the elites in private.
