- You get everyone riled up that the bad guys are about to win, but then the heros ride in and save the day and the good guys win.
- Everyone rejoices and is happy and they go about their lives.
Meanwhile you complete your global takeover under the guise of 'the good guys', and then you win.
Don't you fucking tell me that since the start of 2020 (or you could argue 2016) living on planet earth hasn't felt like that we're all inside one massively long disaster / horror / thriller / action movie!!
I don't really think that this scenario is actually real, but at this point I'm starting to doubt my own ability to distinguish reality from fantasy!

The problem with this scenario is that if you've already got that kind of control... what exactly will your "takeover" gain you?

The point is that no-one has complete control right now, so by this method they could gain it by stealth, with little to no resistance.
Or you let the really bad guys who have conspired against us for generations continue to commit crimes while you're able to monitor them from a position of power.
Then you round them all up and Gitmo their asses.
Oh, don't get me wrong; I think the scenario you (and many others) have laid out makes total sense!
It's just that there is no **hard, verifiable **proof (as one would expect if that scenario is true) and a metric shit-ton of lies, exaggerations and half-truths out there muddying the waters.
