Every time I hear of someone in relatively young years and OK health dying of a heart attack, I think of a word. Prop-ran-olol (take out hyphens.) This is a near-perfect assasination method. Google it. A few grains on food (pure, not the extremely diluted type in heart medicines) and the heart just stops working suddenly around 1 to 2 hours after a meal. Appears to be a heart attack. Hard to detect in the blood at autopsy, especially if the body is cremated post haste.
I have heard that it is quite widely used by SE Asian wives wanting rid of their wealthy husbands. Most doctors know of it - also used in tiny amounts to stay calm during exams. The substance name is suppressed in this context.
My knowledge of this stems from having survived an attempt on my life using it, in 2004. Which I barely survived. By sheer good luck, having by chance eaten only a very small portion of the tainted food. Still nearly died. It's a long story...
I believe this was used to murder justice Anton Scalia.
