I don't know where you're getting anything about socialism or a planned economy. The Nazis were heavily in favor of private industry. The de-nationalized almost everything.

But one of the things the Nazis got absolutely right was their economic platform. German GDP and GNI per capita more than doubled between the Nazis coming to power and the start of WW2. Productivity increased. Per capita income increased. Standards of living increased. Unemployment decreased. The reason these things are never talked about is that leftist academia is petrified of ever painting the Nazis in a positive light.
