Understand the PGA of America is a different entity than the PGA Tour.

PGA of America host the PGA Championship. Its technically not a Tour Event just as the US Open is not a Tour Event. The latter is hosted by the USGA.

As an avid golfer, my preference is for the PGA Tour and all Sports League's for that matter stay out of politics. Obviously will not happen.

Best way to combat this is MAKE VIRTUE SIGNALING EXPENSIVE!

I can't imagine Trump Org's contract does not have remedy sections. Hopefully there will be a significant financial penalty over the cancellation of this contract.

They'll also lose badly in paying customers, I would suspect.

You mean lose bigly, right? Good thing Trump doesn't need their money and has his own golf courses...

To host any golf tournament and especially a major requires a major commitment and a huge investment. Also, all properties are separate corporations. Losing the event will do significant financial damage. So, this particular Trump Organization Property does need their money.

Given this property is very likely to have members who own stock, I wonder if every member individually, who would will be assessed to cover expenditures by the club, would have a case of action against the PGA of America?

Need an attorney to chime in.

Oooh, I like the way you think! Stockholders should do the same as those owning shares in Bug Tech companies----sue the CEOs for breaches of their fiduciary responsibilities to garner profits for the stockholders!
