This is the number 1 reason I'm doing virtual school with my kids...I have no fear of the virus but I'll be damned if I'm going to send my kids somewhere to be muzzled...this is going to create long term psychological side effects on these kids
My son is having a hard time with the mask. All year the school day has been shortened, ends at noon. Now in an attempt to bring the class to full capacity, they’ve added plexiglass to his desk. He’s having a hard time seeing because morons ordered it and did not purchase NON-reflective. I think you’re right & it’s causing damage—permanent or not, I don’t know. Considering pulling him out but worried that him not being around other kids will cause loneliness or other damage. It’s really hard. Please comment.
Well thankfully i have 2 kids close to the same age 8 and 10. We have also enrolled them in to a weekly bible school at our church (2 hours every wednesday) and take them to church for kids sunday school almost every week. Try to stay involved as much as you can. Let them know this isnt permanent. Working in health care im well versed in the hypocrisy and dangers of masks especially for kids who dont get this(unless they are very sick or unhealthy already). Im really hoping this mask hysteria goes away so they can go back next school year but if not, we will continue virtually.
Thanks for feedback. A little off topic, but since you said you work in healthcare in some capacity, could you watch this video when u get a chance and give me your take as to what u think it means? “You know what’s going on by now.” (It’s about 2 mins)
Don’t blame you for feeling conflicted. Kids need to be around other kids. If you can find a pod or some sane parents kids to spend time with and keep him out of school do it. Public school teachers are indoctrinated to brain wash kids in social justice and racism. I’m sure there are some good ones but the system is infected and cannot be fixed at the moment. GET OUT.
Thanks for that comment.
Today I was thinking, do you remember Trump’s executive order about teaching pro-America curriculum in public schools? I wonder what progress was made with that, and if it was enough to make anything materialize in the real world. Or it just now all out the window.
Sigh. I’ve made this comment on multiple threads. I know someone who graduated from a state school with a masters in education. His entire curriculum was how to be an activist for social justice. They are brainwashing kids. The rot runs deep. It might be fixed in the future but right now? It you can’t get your kid out of school make sure you check in with him what he’s being taught. The upside is the lesson is how adults lie and manipulate. We might see the savvyist generation yet. But that’s my most optimistic take. I have a lot of faith in the next generation, but they’re not going to figure it out without our support, so be involved and be annoying in what his teachers say. Read James Lindsay
