You play as her white boyfriend for the first act, you swap to the chick because he gets hurt being a baddass that saved a whole evacuation while bringing serious hurt to the enemy. Said chick has Marcus and Baird as her direct mentors/superiors throughout the rest of the game. The other dude sounds like he couldn’t be bothered to look past the upper layer of surface deep.
