I see your point. That does seem racist when you look at it that way. We are all looking through our own biased lenses. That being said not every reference to anything regarding skin color is racism. People are trolling you because they notice that you have been triggered and they think it’s funny that you are overreacting to something that (to the rest of us) is not at all racist. I don’t think they believe blacks are inferior to whites. I don’t think they believe blacks should not be in commercials. The complaint seems to be referencing to the unnatural use of race to sell products or brands. It seems forced. It feels like some companies went out of their way to virtue signal to “woke” liberals. Does this make sense?
The view that there are "too many" or that they should meet some "quota" is purely racist. These people ranting here are not seeing actors. They are seeing BLACK actors. Who decides what quota? "OK, you can't put black people in ads; but just not too many." LOL, no.
We don’t think there are too many blacks in ads. The annoying thing is that it’s every ad is forcing blacks into it. Some things are stereotypical white people things. Some things are stereotypical black people things. Look it would be weird to have only white people starring in an ad for wave-combs, fro picks, or weaves right? Wouldn’t it feel forced?
So far, I agree with you. What did they say that is racist though?
