As a reminder I got fired from my job a week ago Friday accused of going to a Trump rally and going to the Jan 6 protest that I did not go to either. Don’t get me wrong I was trying hard to go to the Jan 6 protest! Talked to an attorney yesterday and there is absolutely nothing I can do. Ohio is a right to work state. They don’t even need to give you a reason. Never been written up in all my years of working there and with just a bunch of lies, I loose my job! Being on some of these sights has given me some sense of strength thank you all for the support. Will need to fight for my unemployment though

"Right to work" doesn't exempt companies from discrimination lawsuits
if they gave any indication that they fired you BECAUSE they accused you of "going to a trump rally" then you have a case
You support of a politician is NOT a "protected class" that makes firing you illegal, thus open to lawsuits. If you are not a protected class, so in short Non-Christians, non-whites, non-males, non-straights, they can do anything they want to you and brag about right to the judge and the lawsuit will be rejected for having no merit. And if the Judge is a D they can straight say they fired you because you are white and it will fly.
It would go under freedom of expression or some other wrongful termination bucket
I live in a right to work state and this is still how it works
