My Granddaddy was in Korea as well! Marine too! Hoorah! Hug yours tight for me, I miss mine every day! I took care of him & my great uncle(disabled marine from viet nam) until they both died in 2014. They were both my heros. Their biggest fear was being put into the VA & I gave them years of my life, so they could live life in all the glory they deserved. They sacrificed so we could have & then we throw them in homes b/c we have "things to do" f-ing people! God bless your Grandfather & you! God bless all our vets & keep them safe!

My mom is in her 50s, type 1 diabetic with a history of severe asthma attacks requiring hospitalization. Insulin dependent but also manages with an excellent and very well researched diet. She tested positive for chyna-virus over the holidays but was not hard hit, not hospitalized, and quickly recovered, and now back to work.
Did she get plasma immediately? I have been under the impression that even if you have comorbidities, but you start treatment therapies EARLY! you will be ok. It's days 4 thru 7 that are crucial. And if you wait to get treatment therapies you could be screwed.
Immune building diet choices, emphasizing hydration. That was it.

Yeah I know someone with a compromised immune system who was also fine after a few days. But it's not complete nonsense - a certain percentage of people seem to get something similar to an allergic reaction, where their immune system goes into overdrive and makes things worse. Those are the people who end up in IC wards. Does that justify lockdowns that kill more people than they save? Obviously not. But there's a middle ground here between the authoritarian nonsense that politicians are foisting on us and completely ignoring it.

My friends 72yr old father has a collapsed lung, and a heart condition. He got it, and was out doing yard work 4 days after being diagnosed. Literally almost nobody is dying from this virus alone. Only frail people who were about to die anyway that are just being pushed over the edge.

Glad he recovered!! I just recently got it too, I'm in my 20s. I felt sick, but felt pretty good the majority of the time. Worst part is I completely lost all my taste and smell. Now over three weeks later, my taste and smell are finally slowly coming back.
Don't get me wrong, like any virus, there are a group of people that don't handle it well. But this new virus is not worse than the flu. Shutting down our economy is totally idiotic.

Same here. Whole fam here got the shit (17 people in all). Nobody even really got all that sick. My back ached for a few days which fucked up my sleep, but drank water and took vitamins. We all good now.

Yup my 92y/o grandma just got over the coof a few weeks ago. It was basically a cold for her. Not obese, no diabetes, no COPD, never smoked or really drank. It just shows how targeted it is.
It's not "fake" in the sense of obviously the new virus existing. What is very fake however are case totals, death certificate fraud, and the fact that china virus apparently cured the world of the flu, pneumonia and sinus infections.

Several of my old terminally ill hospice patients have survived it, about half and half survive versus dying.
Worst I’ve seen (other than those who died) was a guy in his early 60s who was paralyzed from the waist down due to complications from it.

I’ve been looking at every hospital I pass, sometimes I stop in and sit in the parking lot for a while.
I haven’t seen a single hospital that has ambulances screaming in and out of them and parking lots are empty but we’re told cases are rising like crazy.
