They will get into power and hide everything anyway... this way its public knowledge undeniable public. Otherwise it will be known as some right-wing bullshit lie which never gets perused by deepstate / courts.

If you think about it.. even if they refuse to accept the pardon, it still highlights the topic and if they accept they admit everything.
