Anybody familiar with D.C. able to verify the building in the background there? Just want to make sure that the photo was in fact taken from the outside of the perimeter
Lol, their not worried about people screwing with the lags because snipers exist. This is pretty much the same setup you see around refineries and chem plants and other Federal Trade Zones. See alot of it down here in oil & gas country.
Why would I waste time dicking around with a wrench when I could just grab some cutters or a saw and cut through? Dude, they are NOT building a jail around the capitol. No matter how hard you guys try to believe that's happening, that's not going to happen.

They are asking for ID if your leaving the city because they have a list of people who will try to escape.

The picture is from the inside of the fence. The building you see is the Library of Congress which is right across the street from the Capitol.

Checking for Id as in you need to flash an id than walk past
Or checking as in logging who you are, running against a warrant list or other list such as indightment list.
