It's pretty obvious at this point that something more is going on than protecting DC from a group of "protestors". I don't know what it is but they don't need 30,000 troops armed to the teeth, fighting vehicles with 50 cal. mounted weapons and 7' fencing topped with razor wire surrounding the capitol to do that.
Isn't it strange, then, that the mayor of DC as well as Congress declined extra security forces for 1-6?
Are they creating a spectacle for circular reasoning? "Unprecedented threat demands unprecedented security. See? Unprecedented security is proof of an unprecedented threat!"
It's just so frustrating that they are going to maintain both futures (arrests/Xiden) as a possibility until the very last second, which is soon.
