Gab has always been here. It's just getting popular as we now have a reason to seek out alternatives
Gab got deplatformed couple years ago. Almost ruined them. They pulled through and are now killing it with new memberships. It is going to be painful for a few months, as they are going to have to grow organically - I bet most banks won't lend to them.

Honestly, I don't know what to believe, anymore. I know one thing, GAB is worthless right now. I can't ever get the thing to load and it constantly logs me out. The follow button never loads for other people to follow, and every time I try to change my picture it freezes up, fails, and logs me out. I know they're working on it, but like I said, I don't know what to believe anymore. I wish they would just unplug the Matrix, now.
It's been running silky smooth for me today, takes ~15 seconds to load comments and new pages, but otherwise fully functional.
