The press and staff fly in the ospreys , Melania flew in one to go to a ship at sea. No president has flown in one yet. These ospreys in the video are with the presidential detail.
No way. They're pretty ubiquitous these days. The national guard doesn't use them... so it's definitely suggestive these are a large troop of marines. A few Pentagon generals and brass don't every fly in these.
Nah. Only three organizations have Ospreys. The Marines are replacing their much older Sea Knights with them, the Air Force has a small number of them mainly for their SAR teams to rescue downed pilots, and they have a small number of special ones that fly with Marine One carrying press and cargo etc etc. the Navy is planning on using them for COD duties as well, but that isn't fully in place yet.
Looking at the coloring those have the POTUS dark green coloring. Thus they are part of the POTUS detail.
"On 11 August 2013, two MV-22s from Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) made their debut ferrying Secret Service agents, White House staff, and press members from CGAS Cape Cod to Martha's Vineyard during the President's vacation.[170] In May 2010, Boeing announced plans to submit the V-22 for the VXX presidential transport replacement."
Trust me when the Marines show up we will know. There will probibly be 50 Osprey's.
The other option... they've disguised a pair of theirs by coloring them to look like POTUS aircraft in order to move pieces in place without being obvious.
Are Ospreys still dropping out of the skies like early prototypes?
No. They've been much improved. I still rather not fly in one
Trump use one for Marine One at a coup[le of rallies.
