This may be Trump signaling "You're not going to accuse me of not trying to preserve our democratic process and charge me with sedition. So I'm sending in the whole ball of wax and no one can accuse me, my supporters or even antifa of preventing a peaceful resolution and transition of power."
Yeah but they are already going to go after him anyway when he's gone. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it. They will attack his kids, his legacy, his name, etc.

Threatening to remove him and him caving doesn't make sense though if your going out anyway. Mans a billionaire with the support of more than half the nation. 200k a year in retirement doesn't mean shit. SS protection might mean a little bit but I doubt it when you could afford your own top notch security.
