I'll say this is fake news because Donald Trump has ZERO reason to care what anyone else is going to think about this.

First Possibility: Trump has the Plan in Place. He WILL be President. It doesn't matter what people think about a pardon.
Second Possibility: Trump has NO Plan in Place. He will be killed after leaving office. It doesn't matter what people think about a pardon.

We'll find out what he does when he does it. Just like anything he's done. He doesn't check in with people who have less information than he does, first.
