This is unnerving. What's going on? Biden isn't the President so he is not the one authorizing this. President Trump is. What threat could be so big that we need 35,000 troops?
Could just be making Biden look as illegitimate as possible. No civilians but a huge military presence for the transition of power is a terrible look for the new administration.
It also gives Trump the ability to defend himself by saying ‘look at how many troops I deployed to protect the transition’ if/when they put him on trial.
