Samurai, not Ninja. Ninja would have struck from the shadows with a dishonorable, yet devastatingly effective, attack and then escaped via other dishonorable but effective means. This noble young Samurai did his duty for his Emperor and then attempted to take his own life honorably, rather than be captured. He succeeded later, in his cell, to end his life. But yes. Yes we do. We owe him the same blood debt that we owe our Founding Fathers and generation after generation of American Heroes since.
