I just don't understand why someone would sabotage their own VP position and torpedo any chance of being the republican nominee for president in 4 years. It's almost like he just doesn't want to be in politics anymore and retire and took some multimillion dollar bribe from the dems.

I'm not saying that I necessarily believe this, honestly I don't know what to believe about Pence anymore, but it's something in the back of my mind.
Is there any possibility that Pence was acting on orders? Could he have been instructed to "betray" Trump just to reveal who was truly on Trump's side? He instantly became the most hated man in America. Maybe that's why Trump was telling him not to wuss out. He knew how hard and how dangerous it would be to take this road.
If he had truly betrayed Trump, why not invoke the 25th?
I think they do have something on him, but one way or another, it will come out. He might be able to keep a lid on it for a few years by getting in bed with the Dems, but sooner or later, they'll release it out of spite. So I wonder, is he helping to take them down, knowing full well that he'll go down with them, or is he just trying to buy himself time?
I guess we'll find out in a few days.
