It started with the first wave of the Kaepernick. I was annoyed by the obvious grandstanding and political machinations of it all, but it seemed (at the time) like the league leadership and team ownerships were just as annoyed as I was. I pulled back a bit, but last season I started to get back into the NFL, as it seemed like they realized what a colossal marketing mistake it was.
But now... my god... the cloying patronizing knee-bending and ass-kissing that's being done across all the sports leagues... fuhgeddaboudit it. I am done done done DONE.
You have lost me sports. There are too many other diversions worth my time and money. I hope you're happy with your new woke-dollars, because this centrist libertarian is OVER it.
