Depends. Hispanics are a mix of White, Native American, and Black (also Arab and Asian in some cases, such as Shakira, Salma Hayek, Carlos Slim, and Alberto Fujimori). Generally, the more White, the higher the class...not a value judgment, but rather a statistic.
My wife is a natural born citizen of the US, as are most of her relatives.
Given I am 100% White, and my wife is Hispanic of 50% White, 40% Native American, 9% Black, and 1% Jewish (! Those Morriscos lol) ancestry, for the 2020 Census for our daughter, I put:
Granted my wife's family is 50% White and from the upper, land-owning class of Latin America, so lighter than most Hispanics, but still, she is obviously a Latina and yet those "racist" Proud Boys posed with her at the December 12 rally lol.
