My husband and I moved to Salt Lake City in 2012. We were So Cal refugees. We dreamed of Sierra Club hikes; trips to the Family History Library headquarters; community gardening.

Some years ago the Sierra Club went full libtard. Consequently my husband resigned his membership so he could no longer lead hikes, though he could still participate. Then the pandemic hit.

Due to the pandemic, the FHL closed last March, with no prospects of reopening any time soon. No more leisurely trips to the library browsing genealogy books of Ireland or Italy.

Wasatch Community Gardens just endorsed Black Lives Matter. Consequently, we have left the organization. Nine years of happy vegetable gardening with like-minded friends, now a memory.

We have lost all meaningful social interaction here.

DO NOT MOVE TO UTAH THINKING IT IS A RED STATE.
