I live in liberal neighborhood in a liberal city.
Put up a 10 foot Trump banner about 3-4 months ago. Its high up on my porch and can only be reached by coming on to my porch.
Last Thursday night, two masked people walking by stopped. One of them came on to my porch, with a knife and cut the cord to my ring video doorbell, and then proceeded to tear down my trump banner.
We have plenty of footage, filed a police report, and hope we can find this thug. I estimate this criminal thug is around 30 years old. This was not a minor.
The banner is going back up. More cameras etc. I'd like to set it up that if someone tears down the banner again, it will trigger a loud alarm. Thinking of using the ring contact sensors, that would somehow trigger when the banner is torn down, and set off an alarm outside, inside and on my phone.
Any better ideas for an alarm, and how to connect to tearing down the banner?

That is a good question. There is a high school about 2-3 blocks away. But they are closed because of the kung flu.
Either way, these were no kids. My guess is someone around 30 years old.
I have a neighbor that got egged (not related to politics) and another neighbor caught the perps in his trail cam he had set in his trees. Do you have one neighbor you could set a camera up in a tree in their yard and catch them?
