Hegel is weak in the scope of great philosophers -- which is why he's adored in academia -- because he's comprehensible to them. Time and time again I've seen professor with PhDs espouse his ideas of "other" without understanding that he didn't mean "other" as the opposite -- making it clear they read some footnotes and not his work
