There are a few simple logical steps you can follow to know this is not a trust operation.
It would have had to be coordinated with the President. We know from Q proofs that Q is deeply associated with the administration.
This coordination in pursuit of the trust operation would necessitate that POTUS had betrayed us.
There are easier ways for POTUS to betray us than to conjure up Q, the simplest being to pull a Romney and stop fighting.
So as much as Q is about digging and thinking through things, it's not about making them more complicated or elaborate than they are in reality.
