AF1 is only AF1 if POTUS is onboard. The VC-25A in the video flew to Colorado yesterday under the call sign MACHO41. She's been there since. Maybe they're bugging out on the other VC-25A, which would have tail number 28000, but no matter what's going on, that video isn't from tonight. If the dude is trying to pass off that video as from tonight, then the entire tweet is suspect.
Why would AF1/AF2 ever publicly display where they are so that regular people can track them on the internet? Sorry, I don't quite understand these planeguy posts or how the tracking works
Any plane carrying the President is AF1. Doesnt matter if it's a crop duster, a vc-25a, or an SR-71. It's not always the same plane, so when the president isnt onboard they just go by normal callsigns. When the president is onboard they can fly as AF1, not squawk at all when safe to do so, fly as the planes normal callsign, or use a different call sign entirely. It really just depends on when and where the president is going and what the threat level is. So yes you can track AF1 sometimes, you can track planes that get used as AF1 most of the time as well.
Click on the link I provided 20 minutes ago. That VC-25A landed in Colorado yesterday. Or don't, and just believe some random twitter guy who provided zero evidence. Whatever.
Fake news? The VC-25A in the video still shows as being on the ground in Colorado Springs.

Why would AF1 publicly squawk its location if they think there's a threat??

Huh? What's that? There's nothing in the video
There's a big airplane with a visible tail number in the video.
