I don't think they should need the vaccine since they have already had the virus and recovered. All normal vaccines do is introduce a small amount of whatever agent they are trying to give you protection from, to stimulate your immune system to produce antibodies. With the new vaccines I am not sure but I see no reason to believe the Covid virus is any different than any other virus in this regard. The question is how long does this protection last? With some viruses, you get lifetime immunity, some give shorter term immunity. We have not studied Covid long enough to know for sure. What we do know is that there have only been two cases worldwide where someone contracted Covid twice. One case I am not familiar with, the other is from Hong Kong or Singapore (I forget now) and the patient is being studied for his odd immune responses so it is probably a medical anomaly.
