How to prepare
Stock up a lot (which should always be done no matter what because you never know) Nonpershables water and rechargeable batteries are big essentials under any circumstances especially martial law very commonly power will be out and is unknown for how long. Another possibility is cellphone service will be blocked. Prepare ahead and buy radios for your loved ones if you absolutely need to communicate.
Where you live and or are currently located is a huge changing situation. Cities will obviously be the most locked down and guarded. Rural areas will have military but very little or rarely due to lack of troops. Set a meeting location in a rural area if you so choose to see family
Do not under any reason whatsoever break the law break curfew travel restrictions anything that will endanger you or your family along with that dont be an idiot.
Do not talk to the public openly about what you own. Thats how you get looters and bad people showing up.Growing up my parents taught me to tell the doctor we have no weapons.
Buy seeds sun lamps water for plants and food my personal choice is tomatoes or spinach

For long term lock down, I would advise people to buy a large plastic trash container for catching rainwater off corner of roof or maybe left out in the open, simply for bathing. Can boil if needed to drink.
Strongly do not reccomend if you do this boil the water catch the steam into a container and then drink that
