SO I never watch anime BUT I do game. What I see on steam is these people with this super animed out profiles and then either blatantly(IM A TRANNY) or obviously(IM A GIRL) Probably not explaining this well but the majority of obviously real girls on steam I see don't have the anime shit and then all these people's profiles who look like their a dudes profile have the anime shit yet claim to be a girl.
Or from discord and other stuff people who claim to be a girl, have anime avatars, yet of course never talk. Then like 95% of the people who talk and are a girl don't have anime profiles.
I can see some relation, there's def weird shit in anime, I'm sure some of it is cool but theres def some weird people on the internet who seem to obsess over it.
I really do not follow anime at all.
My closest gaming / anime is PoGo & the games in that series.
My biggest problem is that they want to take away free speech.
Free speech means every one gets to say their piece even if I do not agree / understand or am not interested in the topic.

It is simply a medium, it is however fully infested with SJW trash thanks to Funimation/Sony, Crunchyroll, Netflix and the ThemTube reviewers. Also, oddly Netflix rereleasing an older anime tends to cause the prices on the old versions to skyrocket.
