I would suggest to you that we are not going through hell, currently. By any stretch of the imagination. Any discomfort you temporarily feel at this point is likely interpreted through a first world lens in the most advanced civilization ever to exist on earth.

I think hard times make strong men and women. And God gives us grace and mercy and hope while our weak parts are broken down to build something better. But if you don't believe then I could see how life would be an endless string of disappointment.
