I think you forgot that we are supposed to just shut the fuck up and let our rulers trample all over us and destroy our Republic

The rulers have already been in power. They didn't set this up for 2020, they have been using it for decades. They are adamantly refusing to give up power.

In my opinion, this is drawing them all out as the monster they are so it can be cleanly slain. I can't help but see we got a clear idea of who is on what side, like this process was designed exactly for that.
