The most interactive post on gab had 5,000 likes 600 wheat sheets and a few hundred comments.. just a random post from one of the top pages on Facebook on any given day would see almost 30k likes and thousands of comments and tens of thousands of shares.. a random tweet from AOC had thousands of hearts and tens of thousands of retweets..
They don't hold the candle.. more people view a random tweet from AOC then the total user base of gab
more people see a viral post on Facebook than the total user base of parlerr
They're not going to take down Facebook and they're not going to replace them. They were never alternatives.. they were equivalent of creating a tiny little subreddit just for your own postss but they never had a chance of going viral.. and isn't that the point of social media? To get things to go viral?
The point is that you can create as many alternative websites as you want but they wer never going to replace Facebook or Twitte
Have to fight the problems where they are.. Facebook and Twitter became essentially monopolies.. and being monopolies means that they should be regulated by the government.. there are some sovereign citizen types who have an irrational phobia of the government.. they either have to get over it or people have to stop listening to them.. when you have a monopoly like that it needs regulation so that it doesn't abuse its Monopoly status.. the government is just people that have been elected by other people.. very simple. They can regulate these companies and it's not going to make your life worse..
