People take that they're there for the 'inauguration' at face value, but to me it is incredibly obvious that this is not true.
There are very few Trump supporters in the inner cities where these are deployed, almost all are suburban and rural. And as said above, when deploying troops, you literally never give the actual reason for doing so in a military operation. Deception is key, and I see tons of it coming from our side.
Also it's more than obvious that Trump has been planning for this moment for literally years, in anticipation of the obvious Democrat voter fraud. Especially after the mid-terms.
And so far, we haven't seen him play his hand yet... So that to me is a major indicator that this isn't over yet. There's just no chance his play was to do literally nothing.
Also, if we remember, Obama and friends tried to keep Trump out of office originally, but the military supported him then and put an end to that. That they somehow are significantly less loyal after four years of being treated extremely well and any traitors rooted out is laughable.

That's exactly what I think as well. We knew they were going to try this, and in fact, this is the second or third coup attempt they've tried. They have overextended this time, the American people are now extremely pissed. Law enforcement is as well on the President's side, so I expect we might see some midnight action. I would expect tons of raids in the middle of the night.
I do wonder if these troops are a distraction though. National Guardsmen will do well for setting up this kind of thing, being an occupation force and garrison.
I still do remember the President saying the Army and Federal Marshals would be accompanying the vaccine, so I have to think Operation Warp Speed might actually be what does any raids, not the overt guard occupation.
