Also, if we remember, Obama and friends tried to keep Trump out of office originally, but the military supported him then and put an end to that. That they somehow are significantly less loyal after four years of being treated extremely well and any traitors rooted out is laughable.

That's exactly what I think as well. We knew they were going to try this, and in fact, this is the second or third coup attempt they've tried. They have overextended this time, the American people are now extremely pissed. Law enforcement is as well on the President's side, so I expect we might see some midnight action. I would expect tons of raids in the middle of the night.
I do wonder if these troops are a distraction though. National Guardsmen will do well for setting up this kind of thing, being an occupation force and garrison.
I still do remember the President saying the Army and Federal Marshals would be accompanying the vaccine, so I have to think Operation Warp Speed might actually be what does any raids, not the overt guard occupation.
Should nothing actually happen, would Joe Biden take over the military on January 21st basically? Is that when Trump stops being "commander in chief" ?
They would probably coup him afterwards. If he's illegitimate, then he's illegitimate. Some people say it's over when he swears in, but what if I find a bible and swear in some random place at the same time, does that count?
