The moral issues that we are said to be guilty of allowing would be things such as pornography, abortion, gay marriage, basically the hot button social issues.
The country never voted for any of those things. The court and federal might pushed all of those things onto nearly all the states, and after they were forced legislators may have made laws regarding them, but the core issues were all imposed. There are certainly states more wicked than others, but even states like CA and NY have good people outside of the big population centers. Is God going to be like "South Dakota! North Dakota! Wyoming! You are mostly good people, but unfortunately you are 3 states out of 50 that are part of the wicked USA! You must face judgment, for not having the military might to stop the other wicked states, or the might to successfully secede from the USA. FEEL MY WRATH!!"
Ostensibly, Christians are the majority in this country, but they don't all agree on things and those that live their faith and make in their first priority are definitely in the minority. "Ah ha! That's why we must be punished! People not living their faith!" If that's true, then God is basically saying "you tried hard to be an example and preach the faith, but you didn't persuade enough of your fellow Americans and backsliding Christians!! You shall face collective punishment for this failure!!" Frankly, collective punishment is unjust.
If you go county by county, the country isn't so evil at all imo. Great evil is concentrated in the cities, and it appears even a lot of that is not voted for by the people. We're dealing with a corrupt cheating system, propped up by a lot of cops, feds, and a powerful military. God said come out of her my people...Babylon...which imo is another word for the globalists/deep state. So there's a warning and a message to the people in the cities. Possibly a directive for the more righteous states to attempt secession? I expect something along those lines to be explored now.
Its a terrible line. Its no different than throwing your hands up. Its been used for millennia anytime there are floods, droughts, etc... Only difference is people may have thought they were being judged for sacrificing an inferior lamb as opposed to pornography.
I've thought about your points for several years and go back and forth arguing with myself about personal guilt for allowing the creeping amoral laws to take hold in this country. I don't believe in a rapture but I do believe in miracles and that God hears my prayers. I will keep believing till I am hushed by a bullet by some leftist official. I keep thinking about the millions of peaceful (presumeably faithful) Kulaks in Russia who were murdered by lies believed by followers of Stalin for owning property and farms and providing food for their people. Were those wretched people responsible? I don't think so. But just working and raising a family without standing up to evil government is apparently not enough to protect us.
