I think its better than that. I think if a company refuses legal tender you literally get the things you tried to purchase for free. Of maybe thats debt? Lawyer pede help me out.

That was the excuse I got a few weeks ago. Don't know if it's still the same now but that was part of the reason for the "change shortage", to try and push people towards electronic transactions.
YES! Home Depot, Burlington, Washington did not take cash from my friend for $498 in tools. He threw 5 $100 bills on the counter and left.
