make sure to listen to/watch/read a fair bit of centrist and left content as well. no sense in playing the leftist game of isolating yourself in a circlejerking echo chamber

I like the alt news better than the mainstream (even when i don't find myself agreeing) to hear a different view or even "a conspiracy being thought up" beats seeing the same 3 subjects repeat on mainstream media over and over. What in the world is CNN going to do without Trump to talk about, as an example.

The things I look at favor free speech and are for adults. Only someone with a fully developed brain can see multiple sides and not be weak enough to take on their surroundings. You have to be beyond the phase where you value being part of the group over having your own identity (believe they say some people don't reach that until about age 25 years of brain aging).

Poal.co has a lot of alt discussion (they also broke off from reddit like voat.co though voat closed recently) they do allow "forbidden" words that could make you uncomfortable but i look past that because knowledge gain > messenger style

Bitchute.com is a place that can save you time because other people look at things and put together shortened videos - ex. i couldn't tell you david knights website or lou dobbs but they end up there - again redicetv posts there and they are the outcasted of the outcasts (they have had bank accounts closed and payment processors dump them and been accused of being supremacists)

Gab.com i think is iffy now since they took away the ability to view comments on their homepage posts - that was the only way i could "surf" them without an account.

Parler i think is a honeypot because it requests so much personal information. The only time I've seen posts linked from there, they are good posts but they are so difficult to find anything without some version of a public search.

If these traditional alt sites go down (knowing you all are focused on trump but see you as a good alt info aggregate) I think there is promise in some of the more decentralized/private systems being built - things like pleroma, aether, and odysee. Those will be the next bastion - perhaps.
