Depends on where you are I suppose. Here, the big chain stores like Walmart seem to require them, but I go into convenience stores and other small shops that don't seem to care. They'll have a sign saying masks required but I see people, even the ones who work there without masks. The Tobacco shop where I get my pipe tobacco has a sign saying mask optional but no one, including the workers have masks.
When I walked into an HEB quick mart gas station last year, I had a mask Nazi clerk refuse to sell me anything. But I've been seeing people walk in there recently without them and no one says anything. Haven't tried the main grocery store yet. Everyone is wearing them at that store.

I can attest. Only been confronted a handful of times. Most of them have been polite where I just say “no thank you” and they don’t push past that. I can respect that. Twice I had to leave and those places will never get my business ever again. Only one time I got a real nasty attitude from an employee but she never demanded I wear a mask. Just tried to shame me for not wearing one. Unfortunately there are too many transplants moving into TX from the northeast and California. They don’t move here for politics but for work and cheap real estate. Time will tell but the cities will keep growing and eventually out populate the rural areas. According to my math, if trends continue TX is blue in 2028. Then they’ll set their sites on the next most populous red state. Not that it matters because we don’t have elections anymore regardless

Lived in Dallas 8 years ago. Shithole full of illegals. The nice parts were rich white elites and not affordable. Pretty much like every large urban area there is a massive divide from rich clean suburbs and poor trashy suburbs of welfare, illegals, and struggling middle class. The in between doesn't seem to exist in cities anymore.
Depends on where you are I suppose. Here, the big chain stores like Walmart seem to require them, but I go into convenience stores and other small shops that don't seem to care. They'll have a sign saying masks required but I see people, even the ones who work there without masks. The Tobacco shop where I get my pipe tobacco has a sign saying mask optional but no one, including the workers have masks.
HEB “requires masks” but I go in without one and they’re cool with it.

It would be easy to retain a fair amount of eastern coastline, from Florida on up 'til you reach the government worshipping states. You could split off most of the western seaboard states all the way nearly to their coasts. Since the enemy are anti-military, at least historically, we get to keep all the bases and cool toys and if they don't agree to cede some western coastline/naval bases to us we get to show 'em how all our cool toys work. Probably the mere threat would be enough.
We should also work on adding Alberta and Saskatchewan provinces to our shiny new nation. Most of the people there are much more like traditional Americans than our own coastal elites, and most of them, like us, are tired of the creeping socialism emanating from their capitol.
