I think the concern is the hypocrisy of complaining about all Trump supporters being considered extremists but then saying Asians = Chinese and therefore are CCP.
It’s fine to speak in generalities as long as we realize it’s a generality and judge everyone one their own merits despite our preconceived notions. Do I sometimes assume large groups of Chinese are CCP and therefore dangerous? Sure. But there have also been times where that group ends up handing me a flyer about ending the CCP.
