Idiot: "The solution to our economic problems is to cover all trucks in silly string."
Normal Person with solution: "That won't solve anything. our current standards for trucks and trucking in general are very high. We can keep up innovation and adapt newer technology when it is proven safe and effective. But even just Trucking is a small part of a Very large and complicated part of the economy we will have to seek more avenues."
Idiot: "Well I still think it is a good Idea"
Normal person with a solution who lost his patients: "That is cause you are an idiot."
We aren't talking about "getting a solution." We are talking about people not having ready access to information/knowledge and still recognizing that something cannot be correct.
Arrogantly demanding that other people provide a solution before criticizing your ideas is a logical fallacy.
I don't need to know how to build a submarine to know that farting on a dog won't do it.
Not exactly, however I do appreciate the enthusiasm.
For a more easily observed example, try this: "The solution to our economic problems is to cover all trucks in silly string."
"That won't solve anything."
"You didn't supply a solution of your own!"
Can you see how that attitude isn't necessarily helpful? And why others have spoken out against it?

Not precisely. I don't have to know anything about trucks or trucking to know that silly string coverage is a ridiculous idea.
For a mathematical example: I don't have to know what 378,098,124,402 x pi is off the top of my head to know that the answer is not 7.
Solution: Get a calculator if you care about the result
