Dems are afraid of rank and file unless you check the right boxes. Flag officers can easily be replaced, Obozo proved that. They really need to worry about captains and Majors that want career so they'll threaten the O-6 and under.
That's just my theory.
Pretty sure I read they were doing it for the security at the capitol. More than likely a rumor or shitpost but it wouldn't surprise me
