Trump didn't join Parler. Kushner is pushing Trump to start his own media empire, for the huge profits. Trump wants to save America but his advisors just want to fill their pockets.

Trump may be on board with doing that. His last series of tweets said, "We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon, while we are also looking at the possibility of building out our own platform in the near future."

I know, that's the problem, Trump doesn't know enough about tech to know that it's a stupid idea. By the time Trump gets his own platform running smooth Kamala will be into her second term. Developing from scratch is a long and arduous process. He's be much better off buying into an existing plat

I suspect he would. Maybe he'll buy Parler? What Parler needs is something Trump has: tons of cash to set up a data center of their own.

Seriously, I can't see how these tech companies can say with a straight face that there is a risk of violence from Parler while hosting some of the most vile content on the planet on Twitter and Facebook.

It's either an effort to silence Trump or a move to destroy competition with bogus claims.
