The restaurants that don't go this route, will be $25 for a frozen hamburger

I was just telling my wife that our days of dining out will soon be a thing of the past. We are already limited to takeout thanks to the lockdown BS, and soon it will be prohibitively expensive. The cost of food in general, especially meat, will also rise exponentially. I'm already in a position where I can hunt, fish, and forage for most of our food needs, and it looks like I'll need to continue to improve in that area.

It'll be $25 whether they do or not. If the wage go up across the board, so will the cost of everything else to offset the cost, which renders the increase moot since it will be a lateral shift.

Shut up, it gives me feelz increasing min wage. It also in no way would push even more manufacturing to China and the like.

Thing is, burgers will be $25, with a $15 minimum wage, but taxes will be so high, we won't even be able to afford burgers at their current price.

Doubling minimum wage, will double all prices of everything, but quadrupling taxes, and that will cause almost everyone to be worse off than they are now.
