You don't know how right you are. I work for a company that supplies components for kiosks like this. I was visiting one of the customers before the whole fake pandemic bullshit. We were talking specifically about the kiosks. I asked him what the main driving factor was for investing in them. His words "Our profit margins are thin and with the minimum wage going to at least $15/hr and probably more, we've got to come up with methods to replace workers that can easily be replaced. We figure the payback for one kiosk is very short if we can eliminate people." Straight up facts and since most politicians are have never run a business they think it's as easy as saying pay people more. Doesn't work that way.
