Diana was an upjumped commoner whore who got herself knocked up by a mudslime. Which of course could create a situation where an arab could conceivably (though improbably) have a claim to the British throne. That would increase the already awful "our "people's princess" is fucking a mudslime" scandal to astronomical proportions.

Since this was before the Brits collectively surrendered their testicles to mudslimes, it was an untenable situation and the crown did the only thing that would rectify the situation: knocked off both Dodi Fayed and the whore. And they did it cleanly enough not to be obviously implicated. I haven't got much respect for the royals, but I have always found that they had the balls to do it admirable.
