Why are so many people so detached from reality that they think everything is perfectly normal and fine no matter what happens?

For example there are 20k+ troops in DC, millions purged from the internet, and this is not normal, but most people out there seem totally unconcerned.

Your dad sounds like a great guy. Voted for Trump twice? He sounds like my kinda guy! Starts drinking beer at 3PM? Love that and you know that he's earned that privilege. What's not to like? Hope that he likes to play golf every once in a while, too. Peace!
