Obama was losing against Romney in 2012 and may actually have lost on election day. Trump publicly warned Romney about the voting machine fraud (there's a tweet you can look up) and Romney quit campaigning for the most part with two weeks to go. It's all fixed. The overwhelming support for Trump in 2016 really threw them. They had no idea then, much to Hillary's dismay, and have been upping their game ever since. They still had to scramble this election because about two thirds of the country is incredibly pissed off.
Romney was there to lose in 2012. I thought it back then. I think it now. McCain was likely there to lose in 2008 also. Obama was anointed, not elected or re-elected.
Even in NYC in 2012 it seemed like a lot of people I spoke to at the time (from staff in our condo building to taxi drivers to the folks in my neighborhood old man bar) were sick of 0bama and were voting for Romney. Probably not enough to flip New York but definitely a substantial number. I can easily believe 0bama stole that election.
I know for a fact Mitt Romney betrayed his country, and as someone who donated, volunteered and sacrificed a lot of time and money on his campaign I feel personally betrayed.

The media/social media companies are all CIA assets. Trump didn’t play ball and the CIA weaponized those assets to rail road him for his entire term. If he had played more by what the CIA wanted I wouldn't have voted for him. It sucks he is held to this standard. The CIA compromises you IMO. A lot of that black budget has to be laundered through shady businesses so the money seems legitimate. There's always an opportunity to "invest" in illegal activities and double your budget. Humint also mixes with drugs all the time. Even if you don't sell the drugs, you need to supply them. People can't exist in that environment and remain moral for very long. And when your boss doesn't want to know how you did it but you get a promotion for getting the job done, it's even harder. Bonus points if you figure out a "legal" loophole for your boss's children and family to make some money legally. It's not a recipe for ethics. It's a necessary trade but it's not the kind of trade you want to elevate beyond sewage technician. It's not the kind of trade where managers should be owning million dollar homes. But here we are: the people who deal in drugs, murder, prostitution and every kind of immoral behavior you can imagine end up in media as "experts" in how the country should be run.
