Russia nor the US care to occupy and takeover each other's land. I cannot name a single person I know who wants to attack a Russian and take over their lands. Whereas, China is showing that they actively want to invade other lands. I bet Taiwan will be invaded this year.
India, maybe? They're on the verge of armed conflict with China right now anyway.

Russia will be an uneasy ally just like in WW2. But for different reasons, and I see a bigger potential for mended relations than before.

There is definitely corruption in the Indian government, but I don’t think it’s all bad. India is a friend to anyone who is an enemy of China.
