They did do a "hooyah" noise.
You are right, I turned the volume all the way up and heard something ... it was pretty weak though.
One time my captain said something to my lieutenant. The lieutenant muttered a weak, “hooah”. The captain replied, “ I don’t know how you ever made it through ranger school with that intensity”.
This was one of those hooahs. Weak.
They were spaced out and had masks on.
